NEW : How to shop for free at Walgreens

You probably are familiar with Walgreens for things like prescriptions. However, did you know that it is possible to shop there for free? That's right without spending any money out of your pocket you can walk away with a weekly assortment of products. All for free! You may have seen my other article about shopping for free at CVS. I personally find Walgreens a little more challenging, but the end result is the same. Free products!

Instructions :

  1. Step1
Begin by stopping by your local Walgreens and grabbing The Walgreens EasySaver catalog. This is the Walgreen's rebate booklet and can be found right adjacent to the door. While there also grab the weekly store flier. If you would prefer you can look at both of these online so that you have a plan when you get the store.
  2. Step2
Now you are going to need a few minutes to look through this. I recommend those chairs over by the pharmacy. What you are looking for is the free after rebate items. In addition make note of the other rebate items. If you have any coupons (I'll provide a link below to monthly coupon mailers)you may be able to use your coupons to make one of the items cost less than the rebate amount. Another possibility is that the other rebate items will go on sale during the month such that they are free after rebate.
  3. Step3
Now find any coupons you have for the items you are going to purchase. Coupons are available in the store fliers, or look at the references below. Also, because those are store coupons you can stack them, which means using them with manufacturers coupons for added savings discount. For example if you have a coupon for an item which is free after rebate, you can actually make money by buying that item at the reduced cost but getting the full cost back as a rebate.
  4. Step4
Now, what you need to do is go get whatever items you have chosen for the first week. Since you will be paying out of pocket for your first transaction I recommend either starting out small or with items you want anyway.
  5. Step5
Now when you are ready to pay give the store your coupons in this order:
1)Register rewards (coupons that work like money that sometimes print off on the bottom of the receipt)
    2)Manufacturers coupons
    3)Store coupons
  6. Step6
Now you will need to send your receipt with the price circled and the rebate form to the address listed. Chose to receive the rebate as a store gift card. By choosing that option you will get an extra 10% added on to the amount. This should help cover tax, an envelope, stamp, plus maybe even put you a little ahead.
  7. Step7
The first time it takes 4-6 weeks to get your gift card with rebate, however after that each rebate only takes two weeks or so and will be automatically added on to your gift card. So, if you choose to wait until your gift card arrives then the only time you should have to pay out of pocket should be with your first transaction.
  8. Step8
